On-Site Staff Development  | Dr. Brodsky received his Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration from New York University in 10102. He has worked for over 36 years in public education, many of those years as a middle school administrator for Jericho Public Schools. After his retirement from public education, Dr. Brodsky became a scheduling consultant. In that role he has worked directly with over two hundred and fifty schools, helping them to implement their educational philosophies. He has received various honors including Supervisor of the Year in Special Education and Educator of the Year in Special Education from the International Council for Learning Disabilities. In addition, Dr. Brodsky has served as president of several professional organizations including the International Council for Learning Disabilities, New York University's Administrators' Roundtable Association, New York State Council for Learning Disabilities, and the Jericho Supervisors' Association. Dr. Brodsky has spoken at numerous conferences and seminars on the topic of school scheduling. His main concern has always been the need to focus on the growth of each student. In all his speeches and in his work as a consultant, he stresses the importance of focusing on individual students and aiding them to reach the highest levels of achievement. He has stressed the integration of students with special needs and the importance of staff selecting models that best foster the success of their students. Dr. Brodsky continues to work to foster the belief that systemic change is essential. He believes that schools, through mentoring and staff development, can break from traditional models and anachronistic structures and create programs and schedules that maximize student growth.
