Got into DC last night for ISTE's NECC.  Needed the least expensive way, so I flew into BWI then caught the B30 bus.  Over the river and through several woods and we were at the Greenbelt Metro station.  Took the green line to the Ft. Totten station and then the yellow line to Crystal City.  I am staying at the Marriott there, but found out there are two—the Crystal City Marriott and the Crystal Gateway Marriott.  I can't imagine any confusion in that situation.  Of course, I ended up in the wrong one first.

NECC has a lot of good things and I am happy to be here to see the way they do things—maybe some things we can incorporate into our conference.

One question that crosses my mind is "when is big, too big?"  I know that I am not going to be able to visit every booth, sit in on every presentation, network with everyone here.  I guess the answer I come up with is the more you offer, the more people you are going to attract and the larger you get.  Big is good.

Re: Blogging from NECC

Al,

I wish I would have know you were at NECC. I would have loved to have connected. I sure enjoyed the conference and made me more excited about attending the NMSA Conference. I did get an opportunity to present and also was part of an interview on Capitol Hill that I will share with you when I get a chance.
