Script-writing In The Classroom: Engaging Media-Savvy Students
Frank Baker
Today's young people are media-savvy but not media literate. They tend to believe everything without question. Teaching critical thinking and viewing are crucial. Part of media literacy is understanding the process of how media are produced. During this engaging, hands-on workshop, participants will create a movie storyboard and a news script and feel more comfortable teaching 21st century literacy skills with middle level students.
